Maribor (September 2011): Activities of the CESLA Project within the European Week of Mobility 2011

In collaboration with the Municipality of Maribor, the Consortium of the CESLA project - Cross border implementation of environment friendly ultra-light vehicles in Slovenia and Austria was this year present again in events of the European Week of Mobility

On 19 September at Ruše and from 20 September to 22 September in Maribor, the Slovene partners UM-FERI, TECES, MRA and the Austrian partner FGM-AMOR presented at information stalls the concept of electric mobility (or e-mobility respectively) and efficient use of energy in traffic, and ultra-light zero-emission and battery charged electric vehicles themselves - above all their advantages, weaknesses and the way of optional introduction into target surroundings, as for instance Podravje.

Under the leadership of the partner UM-FERI, this year a special intention was focused to presentation of renewable sources of energy application in using electric vehicles. During the European Week of Mobility, citizens and other random visitors and tourists were enabled test drives with CESLA presentation vehicles – i.e. e-scooter, e-bikes and e-motor-scooter.
Besides, in collaboration with RIC-TIC Slovenska Bistrica, there was testing of e-bikes on the local level - at urban drive and in the countryside. In collaboration with SODO, there is possible to use a free of charge feed station for electric vehicles at Pobreška cesta 20 in Maribor during the project period.
