Maribor (November 2011): Workshop with the CESLA project presentation

Since electric vehicles use abroad and in likewise Slovenia has been increasing, we are certain that Maribor as a smaller European city is very convenient for promotion and introduction of such environmentally friendly vehicles in the future.

Therefor the CESLA project Slovene partners (MRA, UM-FERI and TECES) prepared a workshop on Thursday, 17 November 2011, with the purpose to present the CESLA project to interested Maribor organisations and public services. The workshop participants were representatives of the Inter-Municipality office of the environment protection and nature conservation and representatives of the Maribor Tourist Board.

Organisation and moderation of the workshop was under the patronage of MRA, and a representative of TECES, the project leading partner, presented the CESLA project itself, its objectives, purpose and results. This was followed by a technical-technological presentation of electric vehicles and feed stations for feeding electric vehicles under the patronage of UM-FERI, which gave an excellent basis for an extended open discussion on technological options and requirements to promote applications of environmentally friendly ultra-light vehicles in Maribor and Podravje Region. Talks about future constructive mutual collaboration in the field of the efficient use of energy and renewable energy sources options were going on.

In spite of cold weather, the workshop activities were carried out in the open air. The attending persons could have a look at the feed station for feeding electric vehicles application located in front of the MRA business complex building. Afterwards the attendants had the possibility of a practical test and detailed acquaintance with demonstration ultra-light electric vehicles (e-bike, e-moped).
